The consultation session with Law Students today was very productive. This was the second opportunity for all UVic Law Students to give input to the plans for the Priestly Law Library renovation.
The elements of the renovation proposal that the students in attendance were most supportive of were:
- Better lighting, especially in the Carrels
- Additional Group Study Rooms and Collaborative Space
- A Designated Quiet Study Room
- New Chairs and other Furniture
Some of the suggestions that were made by students included:
- Gender Neutral Bathroom
- Larger Indigenous Studies Room
This consultation session was very productive, and library staff will follow up on the concerns expressed at the meeting.
